A week of ups and downs

Well, it has been quite the week.

Gunner has decided to sit up from a crawling position, to officially crawl, pull himself up on furniture to his knees, and pull himself up to his feet. Also he has decided that semi-chunky food is okay and ate directly from my plate on Thanksgiving. Oh and last night Baylin was very playful and Gunner was in a good mood. We told Gunner to go get Baylin and he was chasing him all over the house! It was REALLY precious and funny.

Baylin is constantly testing his limits and getting in trouble. He enjoys seeing if he can make Mama mad and giggles while running away when he succeeds. He also is talking up a storm in full sentences, and is starting to experiment with tone. It is pretty funny but unfortunately you cannot express tone in writing unless you are a professional, so you will just have to believe me.

Also, on Thanksgiving my dad passed away after a battle with cancer. I am not sure how long that battle was, but it was at least as long as he has lived here. I am happy that he got to meet the boys and that I got to spend some time with him. It had been so long since we had been together.

I am so glad you got to spend some time with your dad. It is great that he got to meet the boys. I always liked your dad, though I did not know him well.

Be sure to set your limits with your 2 year old. If you do not let him know who is the boss now, you will be sorry when he is a teenager. And love him to death... he will be a teenager all too soon.

I echo MC's comments. I always liked your dad, too. My love and sympathy to you and your grandma.

Enjoy those boys. They will be in school before you know it.

Just out of curiosity- which one of Midnight Crafter's 3 kids did she not let know who was boss???

Just imagine what they would be like if I HAD let them know who was the boss. But to really answer your question--- the girl!! Maybe I was just too old already when I had her.

Remember, don't let him get by with it...I know it can be hard, but it is important that you are more persistent than he is.

I wish I could give you a big hug right now. I love you...hang in there.
