Monster! Monster! aaaahhhhhhh!

So this week since Gunner has decided to crawl, Baylin has decided it is fun to get him to play chase. This has turned into the Monster Game. Baylin will run or crawl away, Gunner hot on his trail and Baylin will SCREAM and holler that a monster is chasing him! It is really loud, but cute. They have been caught playing together under a blanket at least once a day. And the two of them got in a fight over animal crackers the other day. All I know is I gave Baylin a snack bag of them and left the room to make a call. The next thing I hear is Baylin screaming "no no no" and Gunner crying. I come out of the room to all this chaos and Brady is mediating (and laughing hysterically) and the boys are still crying. Seems Gunner thought he needed some too and while Baylin is reluctantly sharing his toys, sharing food is not an option!

Oh, I was giving Baylin a bath and we were playing with his foam letters. I gathered them all up and started sticking them to the tub, counting as I went. Baylin started counting too. Now I knew he could count to three (what kid can't after all the one, two, three throw him on the bed, play rocket, etc games), but this little boy counted all the way to NINE! I helped him twice, that is it! I made him do it a couple of times, and then again the next day. So proud!

The most exciting news of the week is that I have found my brother, Asa! It is too bad that the sad news of our father passing away is what brought us together, but it did and for that I am thankful. AND I have a 5-year old niece, Mazzy! We have promised to stay in contact and we are looking forward to meeting each other as soon as we can. YAY!

Also as a side note, because this blog is Adventures in Mothering Boys, I want it to stay that way. While the sad event of my dad passing away has taken a lot of my time, attention, and emotions, these boys ares till growing, learning, and adventuring. I feel that writing about them and all of their wonderfulness is helping me look at life differently, and I need to focus on them. Love to you all and thank you for your prayers and support.

Such fun with little boys. I love to hear about them.

I am glad you found your brother. Families are important.

Keep up the good work with your boys.

I love you.

I am sorry I am being so neglectful, I fully intended to send you flowers, and it never happened, my world seems to be up-side down right now. Just know that I love you.

How exciting that you found your brother, I didn't even know you had a brother...

I would like to think that the doggie that Grandma sent Baylin for his birthday had a hand in teaching him to count....

Thanks for the update. Love ya!
