A second and a lot of firsts!

We will start with second:
My little boy, the blond headed, blue-eyed, mischievous dance-monkey is officially 2! His birthday was spent with his little family. We had a really good day. He got his own bed (well, a mattress on the floor because that is where he wants to sleep anyway) and a Cars bedding set. There was a Cars Magna Doodle and a Cars table and chairs. See the theme here? It was either that or Spongebob. He loooooves Spongebob.
Since turning two, he has hit THE TERRIBLE TWOS <---- insert scary voice here, like the guy that says GINGIVITIS on that commercial. The evening of his birthday after all the sugar of the day, he was up until 12:30am getting into trouble. He kept trying to crawl into the crib that used to be his bed and kept falling off. He got into the bathroom by taking the doorknob safety cover off, and then the big one of the night:he got into his closet. Okay so that may not seem like it is so big, but he knocked over the Spongebob table that was in there so we could only open the door by half an inch. Baylin started to freak out and we had to quickly turn it into a game to get him to get off the table and get it out of the way. Finally he fell asleep.
And that was just the first day of being two! Since then he has escaped from his room every morning. He wrote on the computer desk, opened about 80 programs on the computer (no exaggeration here) and got Brady's knife stuck on his finger. Don't freak out, it was still closed, he got his finger stuck in the casing part of it. They yesterday he got a brand new tube of lotion and squirted it ALL over the house. All over.

Now for the firsts:
Gunner is turning into his own little self. Facial expressions and everything. The other night he was doing his version of crawling and I looked back at him and he was sitting up. ?? How did that happen? So I put him back on his hands and knees and watched. He can now sit himself up from a crawling position. He is also pulling himself up onto things now and will sit on his knees while holding on. He crawled into and back out of his swing, and that was pretty fun to watch. He is eating in the highchair and is still trying to figure out if he likes fruit. What kid doesn't like fruit?
Last night, after spending all day with me at a conference and getting held all day, he decided that he was going to crawl the normal way! I guess all he needed was a break.

I am forgetting something..... oh yeah he looked at me yesterday and said MaMa!
