Where to begin?

Well. I knew it, there would come a day when it had been so long since I posted an update that I would not know where to begin...or what to say without it being super long! So here goes:

We went to California for a wedding and a party a week ago. We had a wonderful time, although it was by far the busiest weekend we have ever had on a trip out there. It was great to see the boys together, especially Korban and Baylin. They are going to be great friends. One funny thing from that weekend:
After the wedding we were at JCPennys to get some pictures taken. There was a Spongebob Squarepants video playing to keep the kids in line and that happens to be Baylin's favorite show (he calls it Bobby's Pants or just Bobby). The lady that was helping us was this really nice African American woman with rather large boobs. She walked up and started talking to Baylin, but got in the way of the TV. Baylin points and in his 23 month old voice says "Bobby" and points to the tv behind the lady. She does not miss a beat, grabs her chest and says "yes they are boobies!" OMG! LOL! Soooo I had to quickly explain to her that he was just upset because she was in the way of BOBBY and he was not talking about her boobies!

We came home and I immediately put in a 50 hour work week, but there were some moments in that week I do not want to forget. Like the day that Gunner screamed ALL DAY LONG and when I came home his new nick-name given by Daddy was Fire-Breathing Demon-Baby. Seems to fit sometimes! Since that day things have been really good.
I got a text two days later that said "he said da da!" Now knowing baby babbling I assumed it was in the middle of a babble... babba ba ba da da da da....until I heard it. I was sitting on the floor letting Gunner practice sitting up between my legs. He turned around looking for Brady and once he saw him, plain as day without saying anything else, says "Da Da" and at a pretty good volume too! He has repeated it a couple of times now. This helped make up for the fire-breathing day!

Baylin has been growing up and getting to be quite the little boy. Let's see... I said to him "now it's your turn" to which he replies "It's MY turn". I did not know little boys could do that! I have been hugged out of the blue with an I LOVE YOU MAMA attached to it! I of course melted and cried right there in the middle of Costco. awwwwww.

He has also been more affectionate to his brother, kissing him and giving him toys to chew on/play with. And just yesterday Brady had gotten tired of Gunner's whining so he put him on the floor of the boy's room to play and walked away. Baylin headed in there a few minutes later. He came out and said to Brady "baby is in my room!" After being told that it was okay, Baylin shrugged his shoulders and went into his room and closed the door. They stayed in there and played for TWO HOURS. Brady checked on them frequently and Gunner was just watching his brother and Baylin was playing, giving the occasional toy to Gunner. Then they each got a beverage and then put into bed, both taking a 2 hour nap. When I got home from work they were still asleep and a very nice dinner was almost ready! We did this playing behind closed doors thing again before bed. It seems to work. *sigh* finally a little bit of peace and happiness.

Whew! That was a lot. I am sure I missed a lot, but you get the main idea. We are settled here for a while, so it should not be as long for my next update.
Smooches!
Playing in the dirt... in his socks! I love being a mom to boys!

***Thanks*** I am working today and Mom asked me why. So years ago before we had kids I stayed home on my birthday but everyone was at work, so I was ALL ALONE... and it was a sad day. So I am in the habit of coming to work on my birthday...but now that I have kids and Brady stays home, I should be staying home! next year!
