So I think Baylin has decided that Gunner is okay...every once in a while; and Gunner has decided that Baylin is the best person ever to enter his life!
If Gunner is upset we get Baylin near him and Gunner is all smiles again! He will coo and laugh and reach out to Baylin. You can see the love that Gunner has for him and he cannot even talk or walk yet! Now Gunner is upset a lot and it is hard to get Baylin to agree to go over and be looked at, but when he does they are just too cute.
Baylin will get crabby with his brother and grabs his hand or foot or whatever part of Gunner's body that is touching him, and shove it away or (gasp) bend it backwards until Mama tells him to stop! (We are having some strength issues when it comes to Baylin touching his brother or the puppy.)
So one particularly heart-warming moment was last night. Baylin was in the bath and I brought Gunner in to join him. Baylin moved all of the floaty toys out of the way so I could put him in, which was nice since I did not even ask him to do that. As I am washing Gunner's hair, Baylin lays down next to him on his tummy and puts his arm around him and his hand on his face. Gunner is looking at him and giggling, and then he does the sweetest thing: Gunner reaches out and puts his hand on Baylin's face too. So here are my little boys face to face just touching faces so gently and sweet, looking at each other and smiling.
I know if I said anything, like yelling for Brady to bring the camera, that the moment will be ruined so all I have is the picture in my mind. I will have to draw off of this beautiful memory when they are 10 and 11 and fighting over some toy, I am sure!
For now, I will just enjoy my boys getting to know each other and seeing what innocent love looks like.

You will have lots of these memories. Write them down so when you get old like me you can still remember. Ha Ha Enjoy them while they are little. Soon they will be off to college!!!
That is so sweet. It is those times that you tell yourself...someday the will be the best of friends, they love each other. Can't wait to see you this week.
You have to remember those moments to get you through the ones that are hair pulling!! I just love the moments were you can think what a sweet little boy, I love him so much.
I am so glad that Aunt B started this blog thing - it does a Grandma's heart good to read such stories....
Miss you too...(response to your comment on my blog)
It's so great that it's happening like that. Can you image the fun those two will have (and trouble they will get into) over the years..I'm excited to hear about it!
