Growing up

So I get home last night from work and Baylin climbs on the couch, sitting next to me. We were watching some show. I asked him a question which he promptly answered, and I responded. This went back and forth five times! I actually had my first conversation with my kid and it was nice!

He is getting so big and growing into a little boy very quickly. He has started getting out of his bed again at night and falls asleep in front of his door, making us hit him with the door when we bring Gunner to bed. After we put him back into his bed, within seconds (sometimes minutes) he is right back there and has made a little nest out of his blankets, pillow, and Bearz. This can go on several times in a night.

Now you see, the problem is that he goes to bed at 9:30 and is in and out of his bed until 11:30 or so when he just tires out and passes out in front of the door. Gunner goes to bed at 11:30/12:00 (but lately it has been 1am). I could not figure out why all the sudden Baylin has been doing this again since it has not been a problem for a long time, like a year...until Thursday night. After the third time of putting that boy back in his bed, I asked him why do you do this? He whined and pointed to the living room. Mama said "no you cannot go in there it is bedtime Baylin." He responds to me with "no, me want Gunner" . OH MY! My little boy either wants his brother in his room so they can sleep together or he is jealous because Gunner gets to stay up later than he does! Either way I have a problem!

But way too cute.

I posted a comment on here yesterday - wonder where it went? Nothing profound - just that is is very insightful of you to realize that there are two interpretations of his "want" for Gunner. Love ya!
