Fixed...Maybe?

Gunner had his 4-month appointment on Tuesday.

He weighs in at 14lbs 14oz and is 25 inches long. He also has acid reflux, which we knew 2 months ago, but the Dr said all I could do about it was have him sit upright and give him cereal. So at this appointment I described the screaming and crying that he has been doing for the last month and how I cannot fix it no matter what I do. So the same Dr who told me there was nothing we could do, busts out a package of baby Prevacid and tells me to give him half a tablet a day. And we couldn't do this two months ago because???

Well, maybe he was too little for the dose... but what ever!

So that was on Tuesday...after a few days of being fussy and just not feeling well from the shots, it seems we are doing much better! Yesterday he was happy all day unless he was hungry or tired. This morning he was soooo happy and is currently taking a nap without any crying first. I am keeping my fingers crossed, but I think he is doing better.

Baylin seems to be doing better too! I think Mom was right, he was just not getting the attention he needed because Gunner was freaking out all day requiring ALL the attention. Since Gunner stopped acting up, Baylin has returned to a pretty good little boy. His favorite word is still "no" but that is normal!

My house is at peace again.

Now we have a new problem. I was reading a post on the baby website that I am on... and this other mom's insurance would not pay for the Prevacid anymore. I did not even think to look! So according to my insurance website, Prevacid requires prior authorization... but Zantac does not... so maybe we can try that. I am not sure how to go about getting authorization. I'll keep you posted.
