The worst storm in 10 years!

Just a quick note because I am at work. Last night we had what they are calling Phoenix's worst storm in TEN years! We had 75 mph winds, over 10000 lightning strikes, downed trees, downed power lines, broken windows, flooded streets , you name it, we got it! Fortunately all we got personally was a really cool lightening show and a lot of scary wind.
There's like three HUGE windows in my office that are broken and our parking lot is flooded. The parking lot is weird because I park underground, but it is not flooded there, but upstairs people were walking through inches of water! Power is out for almost all of the downtown area where I work EXCEPT for the huge office buildings... darn the luck!
Anyway, I had better get to work. I just wanted to let all of you know we were okay in case it made the national news!
Love to all!

Wow! I wonder what caused that? Did they blame it on some weather anomaly - like a Nino or whatever? Tropical Storm Fay that hit here on Tuesday and Wednesday was the worst ever here, too. Weird, huh.

I am glad I live in God's country. However, we are expected to get a storm tomorrow and Monday. Sure glad you are okay.

This is what is called "monsoon season". You have hurricane season, we have monsoons. For three days in a row we have had thunderstorm warnings with winds in excess of 60mph. Thursday was the worst though!
I have been sleeping with a flashlight just in case!
HA HA!
