.....Sigh.....

Hi everyone. I finally remembered that I can update this from work. This is the only type of electronic communication that I have.

As most of you know our computer crashed in November and HP is refusing to honor our warranty. So we are without a computer. I cannot check any of my yahoo email addresses, Facebook, or anything else but this.

We were trying to get credit to buy a new computer, but in today's economy it is really difficult to convince someone to give you a chance. You see, you gotta have credit to get credit. Add that to our poor credit in the past (from well over 5 years ago) and we are declined every time. Needless to say, since we do not have $1000 laying around... we will be without a computer for a while.
So while I can update this, there will not be any pictures of the boys either.

Enough of that... on to the real update on our family:

The boys had a great Christmas and enjoyed their time with Brady's side of the family. I was fortunate enough to be able to work from the Los Angeles site for the last week of December and did not have to travel back to AZ for work until after the New Year.

Gunner is talking A LOT. Sometimes we cannot get him to be quiet! And the other night he was laying in bed singing himself to sleep. It was pretty cute. He is growing like a weed and it is great watching him just play with toys and see that imagination come alive! On a side note, we call him "Mini Hitler" because he marches around the house saying "one two, one two" and when he really has something to say he yells it over and over and throws his hand in the air. I think we have our hands full with this one!

Baylin is finally suceeding at the potty training thing, and I think we will switch to just underwear this weekend. Wish us luck! Brady has started "school" with Baylin this month and on my work days they spend over an hour going over letters, numbers, counting, shapes, and drawing. He is learning a lot. I am very impressed with his drawing skills. His pictures used to be just scribbles, lines, and dots. All Brady did was breakdown a person's body and other things, and now he draws wonderful things all on his own! The problem is, most of the time he is on the MagnaDoodle and it gets erased before I can get a picture of it!.
Gunner learns a little too, so far just the letter A and he can count to three.

Baylin is struggling with sharing and having a little brother who is always there.
The other night Baylin was whining about a toy and the whining turned to crying. I warned him that he would end up in the corner if he didn't quit. So when he didn't stop and I sent him to the corner, instead of walking the shortest distance to the corner, he walked all the way around the couch where Gunner was and SHOVED him to the ground! Oy.

I will be changing my shift from four 10-hour days a week, to five 8-hour days a week. I thought this would be a bad thing, but the shift is from 5am to 2pm, so we started thinking about all that we can do in the afternoon and evenings together, and now I am excited. Imagine.... cooking dinner together, going to the park, drawing, sigh... all the things I miss out on, now I can play too!!!

I have to get back to work. I hope all of you are well and happy.

love to all,
the Mercys

PS I am down 26.5 pounds as of this morning!

when I did have a job.. i worked the 5am-2pm shift. I loved it. I got off work just in time to pick up the girls from school and spend the time together with them.. :) Glad you get that opportunity as well! It is well worth it!
