And it isn't. I wanted there to be pictures of our adventures and a lovely flow to our little story this next post, but it will not happen. Our computer died and we just got it running again. I am scared of it and do not want to anger the fragile computer, so I will not be uploading any pictures today, but I felt all of you deserved a new post. It had to be done!
Baylin made us dinner about a week ago, and did very well. Of course mommy helped, but that little boy did most of the work. He scooped out the ingredients, stirred them up until well blended, and even helped flip them.
(Insert picture of him stirring here, see it would have been just lovely)
While we told him he was making PANcakes, he kept calling them HOTcakes. I have no idea where that came from but now he asks for them all the time. He even stirred the eggs, but mommy cooked those, as well as the bacon. Healthy dinner, I know, but it was fun. The best part was when the first "hotcake" was done. Baylin was ready to eat but I told him that he had to finish making dinner first, he did not like that. It was a lesson on patience that I think we will need to do again. He really needs to understand that dinner takes while to prepare and we don't eat until the whole family can eat. And I think we will have a snack as we cook to help get his mind off being hungry.
Baylin also officially drew his first picture! Brady saw Baylin drawing on his magna-doodle and noticed it was different, not just a bunch of scribbles or dots. He asked Baylin about it and she said "I drew a peanut" Wouldn't you know it, but that darn thing looked like a peanut! Here, see for yourself-
(OHHH that's right, there's no pictures in this post!!! Grrrrrr. It really is a peanut, I swear.)
Gunner is hiding just how big he really is and how much he actually understands. He is going to be a handful I am afraid. He gets this look on his face after Baylin gets in trouble for allegedly doing something, and I just know that Gunner acted like it was worse than it was. He will be a great actor, or football player making sure the ref sees a foul!
He really does love Baylin though. The other night they were both hanging out in their diapers and Gunner pulled himself up to Baylin and stood there giving Baylin kisses on his belly, which turned into just licking his belly. For 5 minutes. When he was done Baylin looks up at me and says "I need a tissue!" LOL! So cute!
And kind of weird, but I don't want to forget it. Just about every bath they take together now, when Gunner is done he will stand up holding onto the edge of the tub. Baylin sees this as an opportunity to give his baby raspberries/zirbits...on his butt crack! He does it over and over again and they both just giggle away. At least he is clean when this is going on! Brothers are weird.
(FYI- there was not a picture of this portion of the story, in case you were wondering.)
Those are the adventures for the last two weeks or so. Maybe by the next post I will be confident enough to include pictures.
Have a wonderful week!

You may need to have a talk with Baylin about personal boundaries...that zerbert on the butt is way too funny!
Cute stories. Thanks. I hope the pictures are still a possibility.
Very cute stories. I want to see the peanut!
