Time to move!

On August 1st I went back to work for the first time in 12 weeks. I am on my way home and so excited to see my baby and the rest of the family, and I REALLY need to nurse Gunner. I get off the freeway and the Chase Bank right by my house appears to have been robbed, yellow tape and cops everywhere. Bummer for the bank, or so I thought. Turns out they were looking for this guy in my condo complex and I am not allowed to go home, park on the street and walk in, sit idling on the side of the road, or turn down ANY street near my house. I drive around for 30 minutes waiting to go in. Finally I get to go home and that guy is still at large. All they said on the news was they were looking for a man in camouflage.
Oh AND the one street that I did turn down to turn around on, this pick-up appeared out of nowhere and was acting very weird following me even though I was pulled over drving really slowly trying to flip a u-turn. They then pulled next to me and looked at me all weird, so I yelled at them in a not so nice way and they drove off. You guessed it.... the passenger was dressed in camouflage! OH MY GOSH!!!! I could be dead.
So fine. There have been a string of bank robberies in the city, times are hard and Phoenix is big. And my baby was not starving to death, so all was well...although I was greeted at the door with a HUGE knife since that is all we have to protect ourselves with.
Fast forward to Friday 8/8. I am almost home, approaching the street that I live on and again there's cops and tape and flares, yes flares. I cannot even turn down the street, not even the back way. So finally I get pointed in the right direction and I can go into my parking lot the back way. I am talking to Mom this whole time. In looking down the closed street there are cop cars and what I told her was an accident. I was wrong.
Seems times are REALLY hard and some guy decides to break into this lady's house two blocks from us while she is home. Ties her up (and I am not sure what else), ransacks her home, and steals a bunch of stuff. This guy is still at large too. I wonder if it is the same guy?
So I have decided that it is time to move... or buy a gun whichever. That will only take 30 minutes and a couple hundred bucks, as opposed to moving which can take weeks and thousands.

What an exciting and scary life you lead!!! Hope nothing happens for awhile. The world is getting more weird all the time. It will probably get worse. So get the gun but keep it where little boys can't get to it.

Things happen in 3s - so one more and you are done. I will not express my opinion on the gun - just know that you should do whatever to feel safe, but you must be willing the shoulder the burden of the consequences whatever they may be.
