What an adventure! The first half of our time in California was wonderful. It was cold and made you want to snuggle by the fire. The boys were happy, had a great time with their cousins, and per the previous entries, had a wonderful Christmas. Baylin even got to make Christmas cookies, rolled out the dough and everything!
Then there's after Christmas: both the boys got colds Christmas morning, then Saturday night Gunner started puking. Sooooo not happy about my little baby puking. By Sunday morning it has stopped. Then Monday evening, Baylin started puking. We learned all about how you need to throw up in the toilet, and I learned that if you are going to sit on the cold bathroom tile for 3+ hours holding your little guy, you should put a blanket down first!
New Years Eve Day had me feeling horrible and only laying down flat and sleeping made it feel better, so that is what I did. Everyone in the house except Brady is having intestinal issues, so I thought that the drive home would be fun.
We got home without any dramatic pull over to the side of the road and without any diaper blowouts, so I consider that a success! My house is a disaster, no one has any clean laundry, and we barely have any food in the house... and I have to go to work today and tomorrow. But we are safely home and happy to be that way!
Happy 2009 to all of you, may it be 100 times better than 2008!
